Memo Review 2019

Publication

Memo Review is weekly art criticism that was launched to fill the void left when The Age ended its weekly art review column in 2016. Memo Review publishes online reviews of art exhibitions at varying spaces, from public art museums to smaller independent spaces.
This annual journal is designed to celebrate the perspectives and content put forth by Memo Review in 2019, bringing its words off the screen and into a collector’s item bound print.
Navigation of the publication is visual and tries to draw to mind the experience of coming across an unfamiliar artwork in a gallery. Images are featured on longer pages, letting readers stumble across the work solely before continuing on to read critical perspectives about them.
